**In the Egyptian religion, number 7 symbolized the eternal life. It points to the whole cycle, a dynamic perfection. Each phase of the Moon lasts for seven days and after four such phases the lunar cycle is complete (7 x 4=28). The sum of first seven numbers (1+2+3+4+5+6+7=28) is the very number of the complete lunar cycle, 28.
