Intake & Session Exercise

In the 5 minutes I leave the room for you to change before your session, there's a few things I would like you to know. I feel my clients get the best quality session when we can work together, because this is your energy. I am only here to help guide and direct it to where it will perform at it's best.

The fascia, and muscles need to have water absorbed immediately or they will tighten and tense right back up, un-doing a lot of time and money we have spent in trying to restore it. I see results amazingly quicker and more beneficial in myself, and my clients with people who drink more water. The fascia gets sticky and dry and then hardens. So to undo all of that build up is a lot more un-comfortable and time consuming when there is no water for the fascia to absorb.


An important thing to realize, is that when you feel a tight stretch, or a pulling sensation, that is NOT THE SKIN and it is actually the dried up fascia. Pulling apart dried fascia can sometimes feel like a burning sensation, or itching. That is why it is not done unless extremely needed and asked for. The more hydrated you are, the less you will be negatively affected by the process of re-hydrating and rehabilitating your fascia.

During your session, it is important to take slow deep breathes and make sure you are comfortable. If an adjustment is needed with the head rest, bolster, or pressure, please, let me know as soon as possible so you can be as comfortable as possible. It also helps to perform a light mindful exercise while you are being conscious of your breathing.


It's amazing what the mind can do to help us heal:


When inhaling, imagine a pure white light entering your body, running through your veins down to each and every limb.


When exhaling, imagine all of the tension and negative thoughts and energy leaving your body.

Communication is key. I work with many different clients. This is your session. And every body is different. Communication from you is best if you are uncomfortable in any way because I want to fix it immediately.. We are both here to learn.


Please remember to turn off your cell phone, or put it on silent. This is your time and is done for you. It is to help you relax and forget all or your cares for a short while. This is your personal health time. You owe it to yourself :)
